Kumalinga: Our First Compassionate Community Training is a Success!

Kumalinga Hospice PH

Hospice Philippines is proud to announce the successful launch of our "Kumalinga" training on June 19, 2025, at our Entrata Bldg. head office in Alabang, Metro Manila. This program introduces the global "Compassionate Communities" movement through a Filipino lens, equipping participants with essential skills for supportive care.

  • Self-care strategies

  • Improved communication techniques

  • Addressing common homecare symptoms

  • Understanding advance care directives

We extend our deepest thanks to our speakers: Ms. Arcie Torres, Nurse Rose Nuñez, and Dr. Noel Pingoy, and to Dr. Mae Corvera, President of Hospice Philippines, for her inspiring message on forming compassionate communities.

Seventeen patients and carers from the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Cancer Support Group, led by Ms. Reggie Drilon, were our first participants. We're excited to expand Kumalinga sessions to more patient groups!
